One particular event, which reportedly occurred on January 5, 2025, at an Altamonte Springs police station, involved Kerri Rawson allegedly telling her ex-husband that she possessed psychic abilities. She claimed these abilities revealed an immediate danger to their children, predicting they would be murdered that morning. According to the court filings, Rawson also reportedly alerted police to perceived threats against the family and later called 911, reporting active shooters at an apartment complex and multiple fatalities. Responding officers, however, found the family unharmed, as noted in a police report.
Following these events, Rawson was located at Orlando International Airport and subsequently taken to a hospital, where she admitted herself voluntarily. The injunction petition further states she was later taken into custody under Florida’s Baker Act, a statute that permits temporary detention for mental health evaluation under specific conditions.
