WWE Legend Kane Uses Wrestling Analogy to Criticize Biden Immigration Policy

Glenn Jacobs, the former professional wrestler known to millions as Kane, has weighed in on the Biden administration’s approach to immigration, drawing a parallel to a chaotic wrestling promotion.

Jacobs, who now serves as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, took to social media platform X on Monday to voice his critique. He employed a hypothetical scenario involving a wrestling promoter aiming for maximum attendance at any cost, even if it leads to financial ruin.

A Promoter’s Dilemma: Freebies and Bankruptcy

“If I were a wrestling promoter and wanted to draw as big a crowd as possible without regard to cost, even if it meant bankruptcy, I’d make admission free and give everyone free unlimited pizza and beer,” Jacobs posted. He then directly linked this scenario to the current immigration policies under the Biden administration, stating, “And that, my friends, was the Biden Administration’s immigration policy.”

The analogy suggests that offering unrestricted access and benefits without considering the long-term consequences or resources could lead to an unsustainable situation, mirroring concerns some have raised about border management.

Border Enforcement Under Scrutiny

Jacobs’ comments come at a time when immigration and border security remain prominent issues in national discourse. Official data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has indicated significant shifts in border activity.

In a recent news release, CBP highlighted broader enforcement statistics. The agency reported that Border Patrol recorded 8,943 apprehensions at the southwestern border in April. This figure represented a substantial decrease, reportedly 94% lower than the Biden administration’s monthly average. Furthermore, it was noted as 96% below the peak observed in December 2023 and fewer than the number apprehended in just three days during April 2024.

These statistics were presented in the context of broader enforcement efforts, with officials stating that illegal crossings and apprehensions have reached levels not seen in over three decades. The Trump administration, in May, had previously celebrated a full year of what it termed “zero releases” at the southern border, a policy stance that contrasts with the current administration’s approach.
